Michael Byington,CPEA,founded Byington Group in 2007, and has over 30 years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, auditing and project management with public and private industry clients in 44 states, 3 Canadian provinces, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. His direct experience managing environmental regulatory compliance includes several major fixed-based operator (FBO) facilities at the Dallas Love Field Airport, along with Federal Installations, Major Food Processors, and Fortune 100 private facilities throughout Texas and the DFW Metroplex.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University, where he also pursued Master of Business Administration graduate studies. He is a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA), and Class A and B UST Facility Operator. Previous certifications include Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Visible Emissions Evaluation Certification, and Certified Asbestos Inspector.
Mr. Byington is a member of the Auditing Roundtable (Co-chairman, South Central Region) and holds a Level 5 Federal Security Clearance and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Clearance.
